Training Committee Chairman
Julian Taylor

The current Training Committee Chairman is Julian Taylor.

The Training Committee meet four times per annum.

The purpose of the training committee is to understand, review, advise and comment on all training aspects of fire sprinklers in relationship to training needs for:

• Current UK Sprinklers Standards
• Current European Sprinkler Standards
• LPC Technical Bulletins
• Government Department Initiatives & Documentation
• FIRAS and LPCB Schemes
• City and Guilds
• National Vocational Qualifications

Also the Training Committee provides resources to attend and be involved in working groups involved in the development of training standards for sprinklers in the UK and Europe and some examples of these are:

• Loss Prevention Council (LPC)
• BSI (British Standards Institute)
• FPA (Fire Protection Association)
• INFRES

The Training Committee will also provide technical support to member companies and individuals.

The Training Committee has general attendance of 4/6 individuals and new members to this group would be most welcome, please contact BAFSA.
