Labour Market & Information Intelligence
BAFSA has undertaken Labour Market Information (LMI) research for the fire sprinkler companies at regional and national levels.

We have gathered information about:-

  • Workforce composition – gender, age profile, ethnic groups compared to total workplace population divide
  • Skills and qualifications – the match between employer demand for certain skills and qualifications and those which exist within the workforce
  • Legislative and political influences – such as industry regulation
  • Looking at the future skills and training needs of the industry

We are grateful to all those individuals who took part.

BAFSA’s primary objectives include providing authoritative information on the benefits of sprinkler systems and how sprinklers can play a significant role in saving life and property from the devastating effects of fire. To these ends, BAFSA works closely with the government, fire and rescue service, building control officers, insurers, architects and town planners.

Labour Market Research Executive Summary
Undertaking LMI research assists us to better understand the industry, including its needs and issues in relation to learning and professionalisation of the workforce, so that we can provide effective support.

We rely heavily on sector consultation and survey responses to create our LMI and would encourage you to participate in any future activities.
