BAFSA (The British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association) has launched a new CPD-accredited online learning programme on the key legislation and regulations relating to the installation of automatic fire sprinkler systems.

"Legislation sets the rules you must operate within and regulation tells you how to work safely and professional. This programme gives you the knowledge to apply these rules confidently," says BAFSA's skills & development advisor, Ruth Oliver.

Called Automatic Fire Sprinkler System Installation Key Legislation & Regulations, the self-paced program is designed for professionals responsible for their installation and covers a wide range of essential topics, including:

  • Sprinkler systems installation
  • Legislation & standards
  • Ethics and own action
  • Non-compliance

Structured across seven modules, the course provides approximately two hours of engaging content that learners can complete at their convenience. To earn a CPD Service-endorsed certificate, participants must complete all modules and pass a short multiple-choice assessment. Certificates will be available for immediate download within the platform.

Oliver adds: "Understanding legislation and regulation is not just a requirement it is part of developing competence in your role. This new programme provides evidence of BAFSA’s ongoing commitment to promoting best practices, safety, and professional development within the fire protection industry."
