The Manchester College has reported that registrations for the May day release course for the IQ L2 Sprinkler Installation certificate have exceeded expectations by 30 per cent.
The May cohort of 13 students for this unique course for sprinkler installers, devised by BAFSA and its Skills & Qualifications group, includes two non Bafsa candidates, one being from a subcontractor.
Throughout the development of this course and other skills and career initiatives BAFSA is leading the way in the fire industry ensuring that the sprinkler industry is prepared for the challenges which it faces with regard to ageing workforces, skills shortages and the lack of clearly defined career pathways.
